Communications

Manage inbox messages, announcements, notifications, and Enterprise communication tools.

The Communications page, located on the dashboard menu, is where you manage messaging, announcements, and notifications within Propra.

There are three tabs available on this page:

  • Inbox

  • Announcements

  • Notifications

Each tab serves a different purpose for communication and system activity management.

The Inbox tab is only available to accounts on the Enterprise package or accounts that have purchased the Enterprise Support add-on.

This inbox connects your team directly with the Propra Enterprise bookkeeping and accounting team inside the platform.

The Inbox is used for:

  • Accounting communication

  • Bookkeeping questions

  • Transaction clarification

  • Requesting supporting documents

  • Confirming accounting details

This is where the Enterprise team may:

  • Request receipts or invoices

  • Ask for transaction confirmation

  • Request additional documentation

  • Provide updates regarding bookkeeping tasks

Users can also:

  • Send messages to the Enterprise team

  • Ask questions about entries or transactions

  • Upload requested documents directly into the conversation

Keeping communication within the Inbox helps centralize accounting discussions and maintain clear records tied to your management activity.

The Announcements tab is where users can send messages to tenants and owners.

This section is used for mass communication and property-related updates.

From the Announcements tab, users can:

  • Create and send announcements

  • View previously sent messages

  • See replies from recipients

  • Create drafts

  • Schedule future announcements

Announcements are useful for:

  • Building notices

  • Maintenance updates

  • Policy reminders

  • Welcome messages

  • Emergency communication

  • Rent or ownership notices

Using announcements allows property managers to communicate efficiently with multiple residents or owners at once.

The Notifications tab displays all in-app notifications generated within Propra.

This is where users can review alerts and activity updates related to:

  • Tasks

  • Requests

  • System activity

  • Messages

  • Updates within the platform

Notification preferences can be turned on or managed from your My Profile settings.

Adjusting notification settings allows users to control which alerts they receive and how they are notified throughout the system.
