Getting Started with Campaigns

Campaigns provides property managers and landlords streamlined functionality for receiving and reviewing lease applications, signing leases, and ultimately creating the necessary records in Propra for managing the rental going forward. Property managers can easily activate campaigns for their vacant units, manage applications, and proceed with lease signings. The seamless integration of these features ensures that both landlords and tenants have a smooth and efficient rental experience.


Let's dive in!


Setting Up a Campaign


Campaigns can either be created by a user in propra.io or are automatically generated by the system when units are vacant.


If you are just getting started with Propra, you likely will not have any system generated campaigns available just yet. To get started, select Create New Campaign and choose your desired property.



Once you have selected a property, you can then select any of the vacant units from that property to be included in the campaign. Basic information about the selected units such as, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the square footage of the unit and the rent amount can also be entered here.


After the units have been selected and the necessary information has been entered, you can publish the campaign and begin sharing it with potential applicants.


How Applicants Apply


To get applicants for your campaigns, you'll first need to share the application link with them.


To share a campaign, simply go the 3-dot / kebab menu and select Share. There are three different options for sharing applications:

  • Send a link via email to specific recipient(s) - enter the prospect's email to send a link to the listing.
  • Copy the link - include the link in online listings.
  • Copy the QR code - include the QR code in marketing collateral or online listings.





Once applicants visit the link, they will be prompted to sign in to the Propra Resident Portal. If they have not logged in before, that's ok! The simple sign up process takes them through the steps of account creation while also getting them to fill in pertinent application details.


Managing Applications


After an application has been submitted, you can click on the applicant to view their personal details, work and address history and any other information or documents that were submitted as a part of the application.

Once the application has been reviewed, you can choose to accept or decline the applicant, or if you aren’t ready to make a decision yet, you can leave any notes you may have as well as a review under Campaign Details.

If you choose to accept an applicant, select Approve Application. This will you to choose whether to:

  • Create a lease offer: This option will walk you through confirming the details to send a digital lease to the applicant for signature. You will be able to confirm the terms of the lease and amend any house rules to be included. You will then be taken through the steps to create the lease record associated to the unit.
  • Create a lease without an offer: This option will take you through the steps to create the lease record within Propra without sending the digital lease to the applicant.

If you choose to decline an applicant, select Decline Application. This will mark the applicant as declined. The applicant will not be notified of the change in status.
