2023 New Feature Roundup

Here's a round up of some exciting updates and new features that were rolled out this past year. Many of these are based on your feedback and suggestions, and are designed to make daily tasks more efficient and enjoyable.


Resident (Tenants & Owners) Communication

  • Resident Portal 

    • Provide visibility to tenants and owners about maintenance, assets / leases, announcements, billing, and more!

    • Allows tenants and owners to go find the information they are looking for and provides one place to share all documents and information.

  • Auto generated rent receipts on resident portal 

    • No more printing and sending receipts to tenants; receipts are automatically available to tenants on the resident portal

  • View expense back-up on Resident Portal 

    • Easily share copies of invoices with owners by adding attachments to expenses and having them login to the Propra Resident Portal to view

Property Information

  • Parking & Storage Assignments on Properties 

    • Easily assign spaces to units and have a list to know what is available

  • Photos on Properties 

    • Keep a repository of photos related to the property and tag them according to room or area; no longer need a separate drive to store these helpful resources

  • Multiple payees on Leases 

    • Identify more than one person who is responsible for paying the rent by assigning the appropriate obligation

  • US addresses

    • Set up properties using US-based addresses

Lease Management

  • Generated forms

    • Complete required provincial forms faster using information from leases and tenant records

  • Lease events 

    • Keep a history of specific events or violations on a lease and easily track whether they are resolved or not

    • Events related to delinquent rent are automatically added and subsequently marked resolved once rent is received

  • Required documents on applications 

    • Ability to select which documents are needed from an applicant when submitting a rental application

    • Ensure you have what you need to assess an applicant without having to follow up    

Accounting

  • Propra Autopay for recurring fees and one time payment collection

    • Have tenants sign up for Autopay to have their monthly fees and any other fees or charges automatically collected and reconciled

  • Bundled reports 

    • Easily generate and share reporting packages with your owners

  • Customer logos on reports

    • How this benefits you keep your brand top of mind with your owners and tenants when they receive statements from you by adding your logo to reports

  • New accounting reports 

    • Including Property General Ledger, Owner Statement of Account, Property Unit Fees

  • New accounting tasks

    • Easily create transactions using tasks for commonly used journal entries including multi-unit deposits, transfers, write-offs, and year end closing calculations

Accounting & Maintenance

  • Advanced account mapping for maintenance requests 

    • Automatically generate accounting transactions for completed maintenance requests with the appropriate accounts based on the maintenance category 

  • Contractors ability to add invoices onto requests 

    • Know where you are at and pay vendors faster by having contractors attach their invoice to a maintenance request once work is complete so that the backup is readily available in the system for your review

Maintenance

  •  AI generated resolutions on Requests 

    • No more sifting through many comments to understand how a work order was resolved. Let AI do that work for you and provide a simple explanation of how issues were resolved, based on operator notes

  • Scheduled requests

    • Don't forget about important upcoming maintenance; have the requests automatically show up when they need to be addressed by creating future or recurring maintenance requests

  • Maintenance request tenant email replies 

    • Replies to maintenance requests from tenants are automatically added to Notes on Requests, providing a record of communication 

  • Push notifications for Propra for Operators App 

    • Stay on top of your tasks with important reminders, such as when a timer has been running for more than 4 hours

Inspections

  • Routine Inspections 

    • Customizable inspections that can be completed at anytime on any type of unit 

User Management

  • User notifications

    • Users define when they want to be notified about certain events; helping you stay on top of what requires your attention

  • Teams 

    • Make it easier for your users to manage their portfolios by assigning users to a group with properties relevant to them
