Adding and Editing an Operator

An operator can be a maintenance team member or contractor and are who maintenance requests that need attention are assigned to. Here's how to get started with adding an operator. 

  1. On the side menu, click Operators
  2. Click the Add Operator button located on the top right corner. 
  3. Enter the operator’s information (Type, Name, Contact Information, Location, and Skills). 
    • Type: There are two types that can be selected, Staff or Contractors. Staff are the operators that are usually on payroll and work under a schedule managed by you. They will be able to use the Propra for Operators app to manage their work and will require their working hours to be set. Contractors are the operators who do not have a schedule managed by your company. Tasks will be assigned and these operators will coordinate with residents to complete requests. 
    • Skills: Multiple skills can be selected if applicable. 
  4. To enter the operator's hours of operation, click the Edit Working Hours button. 
  5. Click and drag the hours of availability. 
  6. Press the Save button to save your changes. 


You’ve now successfully added an Operator to Propra! 


To effectively manage an operator, here are a couple of features:

  • Under the Time Off tab, you can enter and edit periods of time where the operator will be unavailable by clicking Add Upcoming Time Off.
  • Under the Request History tab, you can view details on the operator's previously completed requests.
