Using Teams

Modified on Mon, Jun 10 at 12:11 PM

Teams allow you to group users and properties together so that you can:

  • Limit visibility for specific users to specific properties.
  • Easily filter a specific portfolio or group of properties or users in Accounting.

Set up

Here's how a user with an Admin role can set up a team:

  1. Go to Account (under Settings).
  2. Next to Authorized Users, select the Teams tab.
  3. Click Add Team.
  4. Give the team a name and select the types of units you want included. Click Next.
  5. Select the property or properties you would like included in the team. Click Next.
  6. Select the user(s) you would like to include in the team. Click Save.

How Teams impact users

A user can be added to more than one team. Any users who are part of teams and do not have Admin or Books Admin privileges will only see information related to the properties in their respective team(s). This means that:

  • Only properties in their team(s) will appear in filters.
  • Only properties in their team(s) will be visible under Properties.
  • Notifications will be received only for properties that are within their team(s).
  • Only properties in their team(s) will be accessible using the Propra for Managers App.
  • Access to tenant and owner information will be limited to records that are related to properties within their team(s).
  • If specific unit types have been selected to be included within a team, only those types of units will be available, regardless if the property has been selected.

Admin and/or Books Admin users will not have limited visibility if added to a team. All information for all properties, tenants, and owners will still be accessible. Any teams that are set up in the account will be available to use as quick filters when navigating accounting or generating bundled reports.
