Creating an Invoice

When you need to record a transaction for a tenant or owner or would like to send an invoice, you can use Create Invoice from the Accounting Tasks list. The invoice information is saved in Receivables to manage and make deposits on.


  1. From the Task page click on Create Invoice 

  2. Select the property and owner that the the invoice is for

  3. Select the tenant. Click on the  to change to an owner

  4. Enter the invoice details: date, due date and invoice number. The invoice number will generate the next number for each new invoice

  5. Check Apply GST/HST if you are recording GST/HST to be remitted to the government for that property

  6. Select the appropriate revenue account for the invoice

  7. Enter a unit number for any invoices that are related to a specific unit

  8. Enter a description for the invoice

  9. Enter the pre-tax amount to be charged

  10. Click Post to record the invoice for collection
