Adding a monthly charge to a tenants

To add a one time charge to a tenant such as

  • NSF

  • Late Fee

  • Utility

  • Key Replacement

  • Room Rental

  • Pet Registration

  • Elevator Deposit

  • Parking Fee

  • Cleaning Fee

  1. Go to the tenants profile

  2. Select the Financial Tab

  3. Select the Add Charge button

  4. Select the Charge

  5. The amount will be default but you can edit this if needed

  6. Select the date for the charge

  7. Notify the tenant - this will send a message to them letting them know about the charge

  8. Add notes - the tenant will see an AI generated note about this charge

  9. Save

Please note that in order to add these charges they must be set up in your accounting settings.

If you need to add these charges to your settings:

  1. Go to Settings (left side bar) Account

  2. At the top of the page select Accounting

  3. Under the Financial Settings go to Charges Mapping

  4. Add the charge, set the default amount and approval amount

  5. Add the account you wish for the charge to go to

  6. Save

Now you can add the charge to the tenant
