How to add a one time charge to a resident or owner.

Examples of one time charges:

Late fee

Key replacement

Cleaning Fee

Property damage

NSF

Lease break fee

Lease renewal processing fee

Set up your charges by going to Settings > Account

Accounting > Charges Mapping

Select 'Add a Charge'

Enter the charge name, default amount (when you charge this amount will automatically be entered but you can make adjustments), approval amount (if the amount is above this number it will require approval. This charge will then go to the approvals > charges table), and the account the funds will be assigned to.

To add the charge to a resident or owner go to their financial page from their profile.

Select the + Add Charge button

Select the charge from the charge drop down list, the amount will automatically show, select the date for the charge.

If you select to notify the person they will receive an email of the charge.

If you add notes the person will see this information on the bill in their portal.

The charge will be added to their financials and the invoice can also be found in your receivables table.
