The Propra Dashboard is designed to be a powerful tool that centralizes key information, making property management more efficient and effective. Utilize these features to stay informed, manage tasks promptly, and maintain a healthy portfolio.
Stay Up to Date with the Lightbulb Icon (Updates)
Look for the lightbulb icon in Propra in the top right corner—it’s your go-to for notifications about new features and important updates. When a red bubble appears on the icon, it means there’s something new to check out. We encourage you to click on the icon regularly to stay informed and make the most of Propra’s latest tools.
Once opened, you can review a list of recent updates and select any specific change to see more details and guidance on the new feature. Staying up to date ensures you’re always using Propra efficiently and taking advantage of all the enhancements we release.
Your Built-In Help Center: The “?” Icon
Whenever you’re unsure how to do something in Propra, click the “?” icon in the top right corner. This opens our Customer Success Knowledge Center, which is packed with articles, templates, training guides, and checklists. You can search for any feature or task to learn what it does and exactly how to use it. Most guides include step-by-step instructions, screenshots, and videos, making it easy to follow along. Before reaching out for support, we encourage you to start here—it’s the fastest way to get answers and keep your workflow moving.
Filtering
The Dashboard offers powerful filtering capabilities. You can select any or all properties that you would like to view on the dashboard. If you are part of a Team, your filter options may be limited to the properties within your Team. When you drill down to any of the components from the dashboard, your filters will stay in place. This customization ensures that the Dashboard updates to show the most relevant information tailored to your needs.

Requests Needing Attention
Stay on top of maintenance requests that require attention. This section highlights maintenance requests that have been submitted, missed, delayed, or require new visits to be assigned. You can drill down into each request to get more detailed information and take the necessary actions; or click on View All Issues to go to Requests to see all the cases that pertain to your filtered properties.
Portfolio Metrics
Get a quick overview of your entire property portfolio. This section displays key metrics such as the number of available and rented units by type, as well as current vacancy and occupancy rates. These percentages are calculated based on your overall portfolio — comparing filled units versus empty ones — to give you an accurate occupancy snapshot. Use these insights to quickly gauge performance and make informed decisions.
Your main dashboard is updated every 24 hours, so some of the information displayed—like totals or status counts—may not reflect the most recent changes you’ve made. However, everything you do within the software is updated in real time. That means while the dashboard may show slightly delayed figures, all actions you take—such as posting payments, updating leases, or completing tasks—are immediately applied across the system.
Rental Unit Overview
Visualize the status of your residential and commercial rental portfolio with graphical representations. This section provides insights based on expiry thresholds set by the admin, helping you monitor upcoming lease expirations and other critical dates. Having this dashboard view allows you to anticipate how busy your team will be with upcoming lease ends so you can better plan for listings, showings, inspections, and more. You can also drill down into unit availability reports for deeper detail.
Collections Overview
Keep track of your financials with the Collections Overview. This section highlights overdue payments, allowing you to drill down into the details and take appropriate actions to ensure timely collections.
