Modified on Thu, Apr 18 at 12:16 PM

When a tenant has paid more than is due for their rent the whole amount should be recorded in the deposit. After posting the deposit a credit (CR) will remain in Receivables that can be applied to next month's rent.

To post the overpayment

  1. Go to the Receivables page
  2. Select the line for the outstanding amount that needs to be deposited
  3. Click deposit
  4. In the amount field enter the total amount paid by the tenant
  5. Click post
