The Monthly Income Statement breaks a property's revenue and expenses down by month, with one column for each month in your date range and a Total column.
Use it to spot trends, seasonal costs or a month that looks out of line, and to give owners a month-by-month view.
How to run it
Go to Accounting in the left-hand menu and click Reports.
Under Income Statements and Balance Sheets, click Monthly Income Statement.
Choose the Property, check the Owner, and enter the date range.
Click Open. The report generates and opens in the report viewer.
Options
Property — choose the property. The Owner fills in automatically with the property's owner. Use the arrows between the two fields if you want to choose the owner first.
Start Date and End Date — the period the report covers. Each month in the range becomes a column.
Reading the report
Each revenue and expense account is shown across the months, followed by totals and Net Income (Loss) for each month and for the whole range.
