The Books Admin role provides full access to Propra’s accounting features and financial settings. This role is intended for users who need complete control over financial operations.
What can a Books Admin do?
Books Admin users have full accounting access and can:
Complete all accounting tasks
Approve accounting transactions
Create, edit, and delete accounting entries
Access and manage Financial Settings
Maintain and edit the Chart of Accounts
Update payee bank details
Configure Autopay settings
Complete bank reconciliations
Access and manage accounting reports and financial information
Perform other accounting-related functions available in Propra
Who should have Books Admin access?
The Books Admin role is typically assigned to users who are responsible for managing the company's accounting, such as:
Primary bookkeepers
Controllers
Accounting managers
Other senior accounting staff who require full financial access
Because this role provides complete control over financial operations, only assign Books Admin access to users who need this level of access.
Books Admin and Teams
If a user has the Books Admin role and is also assigned to a Team, the Books Admin role takes priority over the team's property restrictions.
This means the user will be able to see and access all properties in Propra, even if their Team is limited to specific properties.
For example, if a Team is restricted to 10 properties, a user with the Books Admin role will still have access to all properties because their Books Admin permissions override the Team's property limitations.
Important: Assigning Books Admin access gives the user full accounting access and removes property-level restrictions that would otherwise be applied through their Team.
