If You Are Not Using Autopay

If your account is not enrolled in Autopay, your billing account is managed directly in your account settings.

Steps

  1. Go to Account Settings

  2. Select Accounting

  3. Open the Billing section

  4. Enter or edit the bank account details

This bank account should be the property management company’s bank account.
Typically, this is the same account where management fees are paid to.

Once saved, this account will be used as your default billing account.

If You Are Using Autopay

If your account is enrolled in Autopay, billing is managed through Autopay settings.

Steps

  1. Go to Autopay

  2. Select Settings

  3. Open the Transactions Fees and Invoice Payment tab

  4. Choose one of the available billing options

Billing Options Explained

  • Linked Bank Account
This option typically refers to the property’s bank account.

  • Default Account
This should be your property management company’s bank account.

Setting the Property Management Account as the Default

To ensure billing and fees are charged to the correct account:

  1. Go to Linked Bank Accounts

  2. Locate the property management company’s bank account

  3. Select the three-dot menu

  4. Choose Set as Default

Once set, this account will be used as the default billing account for Autopay-related transactions and fees.

Best Practice

  • Property-level transactions typically use property bank accounts

  • Billing, platform fees, and management fees should use the property management company’s bank account

Ensuring the correct default account is set helps avoid billing errors and reconciliation issues.
