How to Create and Manage Tenant Violations and Events in Propra

Propra allows you to easily log, track, and manage tenant violations or lease-related events directly from the lease screen. This guide covers how to create a violation or event, what details you can include, and where to view or edit these records.


Creating a Violation or Event

  1. Navigate to the Lease

    • Go to the relevant property and unit in Propra.

    • Scroll down to the lease section.

  2. Open the Events Tab

    • On the right-hand side of the lease screen, click on the “Events” tab.

    • Then select “Add Event” to begin logging a violation or event.

  3. Choose an Event Type
    You’ll be prompted to choose a category. Options include:

    • Criminal Activity

    • Nonpayment of Rent

    • Domestic Violence

    • False Application Information

    • Health and Safety Standards

    • Inspection

    • Lease Terms Violation

    • Nonpayment of Deposits

    • Property Damage

    • Rate Change

    • Renewal

    • Resident Change

    • Term Change

    • Unauthorized Pet

  4. Enter Event Details

    • Add a description of the event or violation.

    • Include the date and time it occurred.

    • Check whether a written notice was provided, and if so, enter the notice date.

    • If the violation has been resolved, check the “Resolved” box and enter resolution notes.

  5. Save the Event

    • Once all details are filled in, click “Save” to log the event to the tenant’s lease record.


Viewing and Managing Violations

You can view and manage all tenant violations from the dashboard.

  1. Go to the Dashboard

    • Click on the Residential section from the main dashboard.

  2. Open the Violations Tab

    • At the top of the Residential page, click the “Violations” tab.

    • Here, you’ll see a table with all recorded violations across your properties.

  3. View Individual Violations

    • Click on a specific violation to open the associated lease.

    • Go to the Events tab to see all logged events or violations for that lease.

  4. Edit or Delete Violations

    • Click the three-dot menu beside any event to edit or delete it.

    • You can also:

      • Update the resolution status

      • Enter additional notes

      • Adjust the written notice date

For quick access:

  • Dashboard → Residential → Violations Tab

  • Or go directly to a lease → Events Tab → Add or Edit Events
