Adding Charges for Pro-rated Rent

Mid month leases don't end up getting posted with rent roll since they are added after the beginning of the month. To add a charge for the pro-rated lease without having to run rent roll again, first ensure there is a charge type set up in your Financial Settings for Pro-rated rent. Then follow these steps for adding the charge: 

1. Ensure the mid-month lease is added to the appropriate unit, If not, add the lease
2. From the lease record, click on the leaseholder's name to go to their tenant profile
3. Go to the Financial tab and click Add Charge
4. If the tenant has more than one active lease make sure the correct unit has been selected
5. Select Pro-rated rent as the charge type
6. Calculate the the pro-rated rent amount to charge for the remaining month and enter that in the charge amount
7. If needed, add notes 
8. Click Save
