The Books Reporter permission provides read-only access to accounting information and reports in Propra.
Books Reporters can review financial information, access accounting reports, and review items in the Approvals page. They cannot create accounting transactions or make changes to financial records.
What Can a Books Reporter Access?
Accounting Reports
Books Reporters can access and run available accounting reports.
They can use reports to review financial information and download or print reports as needed.
Collections and Payables
Books Reporters can access the Collections and Payables tables from the accounting dropdown.
These pages allow them to review:
Outstanding collections
Outstanding payables
Payee information associated with outstanding amounts
They can select an item to open the associated payee's profile and review their financial information.
Payee Financial Information
Books Reporters can access the Financial pages within payee profiles to review financial information.
This provides visibility into the financial activity associated with the payee without allowing them to make accounting changes.
Tenant Invoices
Books Reporters can access a tenant's Financial tab and view their invoices.
They can:
View invoices
Open invoice details
Download the invoice as a PDF
Print the invoice PDF
Approvals
Books Reporters can access the Approvals page to review items waiting for approval.
They can review:
Charges
Deposits
Scans
Books Reporters cannot approve these items.
They can decline items when needed.
Note: Declining an item does not give the Books Reporter the ability to edit or approve the accounting transaction.
What Can a Books Reporter Not Do?
Books Reporter is a read-only accounting permission. They cannot perform accounting transactions or make changes to financial records.
They cannot:
Create accounting transactions
Edit accounting records
Delete accounting records
Approve charges
Approve deposits
Approve scans
Make changes to financial records
Their access is intended for team members who need to review financial information, access reports, and monitor accounting activity without processing accounting transactions.
