Why can't I login to the Operator App?

When you attempt to login to the operator app and it is not reading your email address

In Propra, each email address = one unique user ID. That user ID controls which part of the system you can access.

Because we’ve built Propra with three distinct user groups, the system keeps them completely separate:

  • Web Application and Property Manager App (Property Management Team): for day-to-day property management tasks and onsite property management tasks.

  • Operator App (On-site Staff): for maintenance requests and on-site work.

  • Resident Portal (Tenants & Owners): for rent payments, statements, and communication.

This separation is intentional—so tenants don’t see management tools, operators don’t see resident data, and managers can keep workspaces secure and uncluttered.

That means:

  • A resident can’t log into the Operator App or Web Application.

  • An operator can’t log into the Resident Portal.

  • A property manager can’t use the same email to log into the Resident Portal or Operator App.

If you need access to more than one area (for example, a property manager wanting to test the operator experience), you’ll need to use a different email address to create a second user ID. That’s why, during testing, we set property managers up with their personal email as a test tenant account.

This structure ensures that each role has the right tools, the right data, and secure access without overlap.
