Co-Applicants and Leaseholders: How It Affects Campaign Submissions

Why A Campaign Application May Not Be Showing Up

If you’re expecting a campaign application to appear but don’t see it, there may be an issue with co-applicants and leaseholder selections. Here’s how the system works:

When a rental application includes multiple applicants, it’s important to pay attention to who is marked as a leaseholder. This affects whether the campaign application is considered “complete” and whether it will show up on your Propra dashboard.

Scenario 1: Both Applicants Selected as Leaseholders

If the primary applicant selects a co-applicant and marks both of them as leaseholders, both individuals must submit a campaign application. The other leaseholder will get an invite to their email submitted by the main applicant for them to create their own application. The application will show In-Progress for the co-applicant until both leaseholders have completed their submissions.

Scenario 2: Only One Leaseholder

If only one applicant is selected as a leaseholder (even if a co-applicant is listed), the application will go through and show up once just that one leaseholder completes their portion. The co-applicant does not need to fill out the campaign application in this case.

Takeaway:

Always ensure that all selected leaseholders complete their campaign applications. To finalize a campaign application, it is recommended to monitor the submission status of each co-applicant, follow up with non-responsive co-applicants, and ensure that all listed leaseholders are informed of their responsibilities.
