Smart Templates let you fully customize the categories and questions in your maintenance request forms to fit your property’s unique needs. Whether you're managing appliances, plumbing, or any other issue, you can tailor each category with specific fields — such as selecting which appliances to display, asking for make and model, allowing image uploads, or setting required response times.
You can also guide tenants with helpful resources by adding links to how-to videos, cleaning instructions, or simple troubleshooting steps. This is especially useful in situations where there's a potential threat to the property, enabling quicker action and more informed reports.
Smart Templates help streamline maintenance communication, reduce unnecessary requests, and ensure the right information is captured every time.
To edit a template go to Smart Templates located on the bottom left of your dashboard.
Select the pencil icon to edit a template.
To enable the template toggle it on or off.
Edit the fields accordingly. You can choose the type of question and add help text which will appear as a bubble for the resident to view.
Save.
Now when a maintenance request is being created by a resident it will include these templates associated with the category.
