How to Add a Common Area

Adding a common area to a property such as a Laundry Room or Events Room

To add a common room:

  • Go to Properties and find your desired property

  • Select the Property

  • Navigate to the Common tab

  • Add a common area unit

  • Type in the Unit Name (ie Party Room)

  • Enter the remaining fields

  • Save

Why should I add a common room to the property?

Adding a common room allows you to:

  1. Allocate costs to this unit

  2. Track maintenance and repairs on the unit

Here is an example list of common rooms:

🏑 Residential & Apartment Complexes

Lounge / Community Room – Social space for tenants to relax, meet, or host events.

Coworking Space / Business Center – Workstations, WiFi, and meeting areas for remote workers.

Fitness Center / Gym – Workout space with equipment for residents.

Game Room / Entertainment Room – Pool table, arcade games, or video game consoles.

Theater / Movie Room – Projector screen or large TV for movie nights.

Library / Study Room – Quiet reading or study area with books and seating.

Playroom / Kids' Room – A safe space for children with toys and activities.

Laundry Room – Shared washers and dryers for convenience.

Kitchen / Dining Hall – A communal kitchen for cooking events or shared meals.

Storage Room – Extra space for tenant belongings, bikes, or seasonal items.

Conference Room – Meeting space for employees or clients.

Break Room / Lounge – Area with seating, coffee machines, and snacks.

Phone Booths / Private Call Rooms – Soundproof spaces for calls or video meetings.

Wellness Room – Space for relaxation, meditation, or nursing mothers.

Clubhouse – Multi-use space for events and gatherings.

BBQ / Picnic Area – Outdoor space for grilling and socializing.
